Women’s Voices Heard is a film project working with women living in the North Staffordshire to make films about the stories that are important to them.
All the films are made and edited on mobile phones.
The project launched in February and will run across the year. At International Women’s Day we’ll be showing some ‘rough cuts’ made by a group of women at the YMCA. The project is funded by Seedbed.
Whilst you are enjoying IWD 17,please feel free to help local community organisation FoodFest by starting to embroider one of the table cloths in the cafe area.
Once finished the table cloths will be used at local community events and at FoodFest 17 a weekend long community food celebration in Newcastle under Lyme from 15-17/9/17.
Music performanceUkulele band based at the College of the Third Age based in Ebenezer House, Meriell Street, Newcastle, Staffordshire. They meet every Tuesday 12 till 2. Everyone over 50 are welcome whatever level you play. Come and join the fun.
